New To The Chair – Already Inspired
A Message from the Huntsville Hospital Foundation Board Chair
ABOUT SIX YEARS AGO, when we retired, my husband and I moved to Huntsville. We were immediately welcomed into this community and just as quickly felt so very comfortable. I’m proud to call Huntsville home. I think we all are, whether we’ve been here for generations or just a few years.
I’m inspired by the generosity of this community, toward its hospital for sure but also in support and giving for so many local causes. The challenges are great at this time; focusing on local needs helps everyone meet those challenges.
I’m inspired by the job our Foundation did in fundraising for the new MRI and all the new diagnostic imaging equipment and technology. Small communities can achieve great things when they work together.
The Bigwin Gala is another example of amazing achievement and giving. As a result of participant generosity, Central Patient Monitoring is now a reality.
I’m excited about our new hospital build and getting everyone behind the campaign that will fund it. Our communities are responsible for partially funding this new healthcare system. Just as your donations, not tax dollars, fund technology and equipment today.
I want to thank outgoing Chair Mike Harrower for all his great work locally and commitment to a sustainable future for healthcare in this region. His shoes will be hard to fill. But I’m excited by this opportunity and working with a great Board of Directors. Finally, the Huntsville Hospital Foundation is an outstanding team, an inspiration to everyone they work with
I’m looking forward to working with the Board, the Foundation team and you as we build new hospitals for all of Muskoka.
